The project is jointly undertaken by the company and Yingde Gas Co., Ltd. It broke ground on June 13, 2023, and was officially put into operation on August 25, 2024. The project includes the construction of a 66,000 Nm³/h (O₂) air separation unit, equipped with smart factory features such as digital delivery, advanced APC control, operational navigation, and automated filling. This project will help Yunnan Copper achieve its strategic goal of building a copper smelting industry worth over 100 billion yuan. It represents a key step in Yunnan Copper’s transition toward a green and low-carbon future, while also enabling more efficient and comprehensive utilization of resources, reducing production costs, and enhancing overall competitiveness.
