The Party Committee of China Air Separation held the 2024 Annual Democratic Life Meeting for Party Member Leading Cadres.

Following the unified deployment and specific requirements of the Party Committee of SPD China, the Party Committee of China Air Separation held its 2024 annual democratic life meeting for leading Party members and cadres on the morning of February 28. The meeting focused on thoroughly studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, consolidating and deepening the achievements of Party discipline study and education, and comprehensively leveraging the Party’s disciplinary education’s role in providing constraints, safeguards, and incentives—thus offering strong disciplinary guarantees for further comprehensively deepening reform and advancing Chinese-style modernization.
Xu Xianghui, Party Secretary and Chairman of the company, presided over the meeting. Lou Jiangning, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Pudong Development Bank, and Li Lintao, Member of the Party Committee of China Pudong Development Bank and Head of the Party and Masses (Comprehensive) Support Department, attended the meeting to provide guidance. Members of the company’s leadership team and relevant personnel from the Party Committee’s working departments also participated in the meeting.
The Party Committee of the company attaches great importance to this democratic life meeting. Members of the leading team conscientiously fulfill their “dual responsibilities,” engage in in-depth study and discussion, hold heart-to-heart talks, proactively take ownership of identified issues, thoroughly examine and analyze the root causes of these issues, and conduct criticism and self-criticism in a serious and rigorous manner, ensuring that the democratic life meeting achieves high quality.
At the meeting, Xu Xianghui first reported on the rectification measures taken following last year’s democratic life conference and presented the self-examination and analysis conducted by the leading team. Closely aligned with the theme of this meeting, he conducted an in-depth examination and analysis across four key areas. He clearly outlined improvement measures such as “strengthening political development to ensure we stay on the right course; enhancing the Party committee’s leadership role to serve the nation’s major interests; reinforcing accountability and consistently demonstrating commitment and action; and focusing on promoting integrity and strict discipline to comprehensively build a system of strict Party governance.”
Li Lintao expressed his approval of the effectiveness of the democratic life meetings and put forward specific suggestions on aspects such as "focusing on identifying and correcting problems, attaching great importance to intelligent development, and establishing a regular mechanism for exchange and collaboration."
In his commentary, Lou Jiangning fully affirmed the quality and effectiveness of this democratic life meeting. He noted that the meeting was well-organized, serious and earnest, and featured a clear and focused theme, reflecting the company’s leadership team’s efforts to transform the requirement of upholding political principles into an intrinsic and conscious drive for enterprise reform and development. Regarding the next steps, he put forward three key requirements:
First, we must firmly uphold our ideals and convictions, and build a strong ideological defense against corruption and degeneration through genuine study and sincere belief. Solidify the foundation of our faith, maintain a sense of awe and reverence, strictly abide by discipline, and focus on properly addressing the “master switch” issue of worldview, outlook on life, and values.
Second, we must adhere to the principle of promoting stability through progress and strive to foster a new pattern of enterprise development. Uphold risk management, place great emphasis on promoting development and improvement, adhere to advancing through progress while maintaining stability, and proactively take responsibility and act decisively.
Third, we must consistently foster a positive atmosphere conducive to getting things done and starting businesses, and strive to build strong synergy for driving development. Establish a disciplinary education mechanism that combines regularity with focused efforts, and continuously foster an organizational atmosphere characterized by fairness, justice, simplicity, positivity, and integrity.
Finally, Xu Xianghui delivered a statement on behalf of the company’s leadership team. First, we must continuously strengthen our theoretical education and firmly uphold our loyalty to the Party. Second, we must remain steadfast in taking responsibility and acting decisively, driving the company toward even greater development. Third, we must maintain a problem-oriented approach without letting up, and ensure that we follow through effectively on the “second half” of our corrective measures. Fourth, we must persist in strengthening integrity and discipline, and with greater determination, advance the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party.
