To thoroughly implement the superior authorities’ decisions and arrangements on work safety, to ensure solid progress in work safety efforts, and to maintain a sustained and stable work safety situation across the company, CNASEC Engineering Co., Ltd. convened an expanded meeting of the First-Quarter Work Safety Committee and a special meeting on resuming work and production on March 2. The meeting was chaired by Xu Xianghui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, who delivered a concluding address. Members of the Work Safety Committee and the Work Safety Office attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on conveying the spirit of the 2026 Work Conference on Work Safety held by China National Machinery Industry Corporation and SUMEC Corporation, systematically communicating the arrangements and requirements set forth by relevant leaders of the two groups regarding the resumption of work and production, and making specific deployments for the next phase of work safety and for preventing safety risks associated with the resumption of work and production. During the meeting, Zhang Xingdong, a member of the company’s Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, read out the adjustments to the composition of the company’s Safety Committee and the Work Safety Office.

The meeting noted that in 2025 the company’s work safety situation remained generally stable, and all safety targets and tasks assigned by higher authorities were successfully accomplished. The meeting emphasized that in the new year it is essential to rigorously implement all safety measures, strengthen safety awareness, enhance safety management and oversight, and steadily advance toward the goal of “zero accidents” in workplace safety.

In light of the current workplace safety situation, Xu Xianghui put forward four requirements for work:

First, we are guided by a sound philosophy and address both the symptoms and root causes. Upholding the principle of “safe development,” we integrate it into every aspect of the company’s operations, leveraging high-caliber safety assurance to underpin the company’s high-quality, sustainable growth.

Second, we will improve the system and adopt systematic governance. Adhering to a systems-thinking approach, we will prioritize the prevention of systemic risks in workplace safety, standardize management processes, and continuously refine the workplace-safety governance system.

Third, increase investment to ensure intrinsic safety. Adhering to the principle of “safety first,” we will make the enhancement of intrinsic safety a core task and continuously raise the level of standardization in workplace safety.

Fourth, we must pursue innovative breakthroughs and emphasize collaboration. Adhering to a goal-oriented, problem-oriented, and results-oriented approach, we will treat innovative practices as the key measure for overcoming security challenges, thereby ensuring that we uphold the safety bottom line at critical junctures.
