The Party Committee of China Air Separation held a special democratic life meeting on thematic education.

Following the unified deployment and specific requirements of the Party Committee of SPD Bank China, on January 25, the Party Committee of China Air Separation held a special democratic life meeting focused on thematic education. The meeting aimed to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, earnestly carry out self-examination and rectification as part of the thematic education, ensure the effectiveness of the thematic education, and continuously promote the company’s high-quality development.

The meeting was chaired by Lou Jiangning, Party Secretary and Chairman of the company. Yang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of China Pudong Development Bank, and Li Lintao, Member of the Party Committee of China Pudong Development Bank and Head of the Party and Masses Support Department, attended the meeting to provide guidance. Members of the company’s leadership team, as well as relevant personnel from China Pudong Development Bank and the company’s functional departments, also participated in the meeting.
The Party Committee of the company attaches great importance to this democratic life meeting. Prior to the meeting, members of the leading team engaged in in-depth study and discussion through various forms, including self-study and study sessions organized by the Party Committee’s theoretical study group. They also extensively solicited opinions, held candid heart-to-heart talks, thoroughly examined existing problems, and carefully prepared materials for self-criticism and analysis, thereby laying a solid foundation for conducting the democratic life meeting effectively.
At the meeting, the report on the rectification measures taken following last year’s democratic life conference was first presented, followed by a self-examination and analysis conducted by the leading team. The team focused on identifying gaps and shortcomings from six key areas, thoroughly analyzed the underlying causes, and clearly defined future directions and specific corrective measures. Led by Lou Jiangning, each member of the leadership team delivered individual self-examination speeches, engaging in both criticism and self-criticism. Through this exchange, they sparked intellectual collisions, openly addressed issues in their interactions, delved deeply into the root causes of these problems, and ultimately achieved the goals of strengthening unity, improving work performance, and fulfilling their mission.

Li Lintao delivered a commentary on this democratic life meeting, pointing out that the company’s leadership team and its members had strictly adhered to the spirit of the Central Committee and the requirements of the Party Committee of China Pudong Development Bank. They had made thorough and comprehensive preparations beforehand, conducted solid and in-depth study and heart-to-heart talks, carried out profound and insightful self-examination and analysis, engaged in candid and direct criticism and self-criticism, and formulated specific and clear corrective measures. He also put forward concrete suggestions regarding delving into the underlying causes behind the identified issues, strengthening communication and learning, and using Party building to guide production and operations.

In his concluding remarks, Yang Yong fully affirmed the quality and effectiveness of this special democratic life meeting on thematic education. He noted that the meeting was well-prepared and closely focused on the designated theme; the criticism and self-criticism were earnest, serious, open, and candid, enabling a profound identification of existing gaps and shortcomings. The members of the leadership team aligned themselves closely with established standards, pursued truth and pragmatism, and fostered a positive atmosphere characterized by “unity—criticism—unity,” achieving remarkable results. On behalf of the supervision team of the Party Committee of China Pudong Development Bank, Yang also put forward three recommendations for subsequent work.
First, we must maintain a higher-level perspective and continue to deepen Party building. We must always regard upholding political principles as our primary requirement, consciously aligning ourselves closely with the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping at its core—in both thought and action—and thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. We should integrate enterprise development with the nation’s development strategies, and ensure that Party building truly guides and drives enterprise development in a substantive and effective manner.
Second, we must uphold even stricter requirements and continue to drive effective inspection and rectification efforts. We must firmly shoulder our political responsibilities, adopt a problem-oriented approach, and carry out rectifications rigorously. Clearly designate responsible individuals and set specific deadlines for rectification, ensuring that each item is implemented thoroughly and effectively, thus completing the latter half of the thematic education campaign. We should invite Party members and the general public to serve as supervisors and allow them to evaluate the effectiveness of the rectification efforts.
Third, we must adhere to more concrete measures and continue to promote high-quality development of China’s air separation industry. We need to constantly strengthen our risk awareness, draw lessons from one incident to address similar risks, analyze the root causes of risks, and explore the establishment of a more flexible risk prevention and governance system. For major issues that are closely related to enterprise reform and development, we must set clear timelines, designate specific persons in charge, and make every effort to ensure their effective implementation.

Finally, Lou Jiangning delivered a statement on behalf of the company’s leadership team.
First, we must uphold theoretical strengthening and take the lead in setting an example by firmly anchoring our loyalty to the Party. We must hold fast to our political stance, reinforce our theoretical training, and persistently study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. We should embody our heartfelt support for the “Two Establishments” and our loyal practice of the “Two Upholds” in upholding and strengthening the Party’s leadership. We must be adept at viewing issues from a political perspective, focusing on enhancing our political discernment, political comprehension, and political execution capabilities, thereby ensuring that the company always progresses in the right direction and that all decisions and deployments made by the Party Central Committee are effectively implemented and take root.
Second, we must uphold a spirit of practical action and responsibility, taking the lead in setting an example for driving the company’s high-quality development. We need to shoulder our responsibilities, focus on our core missions and businesses, find our rightful place in serving the nation’s strategic goals, and open up new horizons for our enterprise’s development. We must firmly commit to the goal of growing stronger and bigger, resolutely assume our responsibilities, deepen reforms of the company’s institutional mechanisms, and accelerate the enhancement of our core competitiveness. We must adhere to bottom-line thinking, improve our ability to assess and manage risks, and make concerted efforts to prevent and resolve major risks. By continuously achieving victories, we will propel the company’s various undertakings to new heights.
Third, we must remain squarely faced with problems and take the lead in setting an example by rigorously ensuring the implementation of all tasks. We must firmly shoulder the responsibility for rectification, pinpoint the root causes of problems, establish a problem inventory, and develop targeted rectification plans to ensure that all issues are properly addressed. We must combine immediate corrective actions with long-term institutional improvements, clearly define specific remedial measures, assign responsibilities to individuals, and approach rectification with the tenacity and persistence of driving nails home. We must consolidate and deepen the achievements of thematic education, ensuring that we see matters through from start to finish and achieve tangible results, so that Party members and the general public can truly feel the practical effects of our rectification efforts.
Fourth, we must steadfastly advance the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party in a thoroughgoing manner, setting an exemplary standard by taking the lead in fostering a new ethos of integrity and public service. We must deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the Party’s self-revolution, firmly shoulder the primary responsibility for comprehensively and strictly governing the Party, and push forward with the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party in a deeper and more sustained way. We must rigorously enforce the “dual-responsibility” system for each post, earnestly and effectively strengthen Party conduct and clean governance within our areas of responsibility, strictly implement the spirit and detailed rules of the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Regulation, and strive to create a work environment characterized by integrity and high moral standards.
