The foundation pouring for the liquid ammonia storage tank of the Chifeng Farview Zero-Carbon Hydrogen-Ammonia Project has been successfully completed.

In the vigorous “Red May,” good news is spreading from the north. Recently, after a continuous 17.5-hour operation involving a total concrete pour volume of 1,425 cubic meters, the foundation slab for the liquid ammonia storage tank of the Chifeng Yuangjing Zero-Carbon Hydrogen-Ammonia Project—undertaken by China Air Separation—was successfully completed. This milestone lays a solid foundation for the steady advancement of subsequent project phases and marks the imminent transition of the project into the construction stage of the tank body itself.
The foundation of the liquid ammonia storage tank consists of 112 reinforced concrete bored piles, each with a diameter of 1 meter and an average length of 43.1 meters. The ground-level short columns rise 1.5 meters above the ground surface and are constructed using a high-capacity pile cap. The pile cap has a diameter of 42.6 meters. Pouring operations officially commenced at 17:00 on May 17 and were successfully completed by 11:20 the following morning.
The concrete pouring operation continued uninterrupted throughout the entire night. To ensure the quality of the pour, the Party member commando team of the zero-carbon hydrogen ammonia project fully demonstrated the spirit of “taking the lead and staying true to our original aspirations, with Party emblems shining brightly on the front lines.” They led the entire project team in meticulously conducting on-site safety and technical briefings, working closely together and persevering through the challenges. Immediately after finishing the surface finishing, they adopted a curing method involving covering the concrete with plastic film and cotton quilts, and carried out regular temperature monitoring and control.
