The golden autumn breeze carries joyful news! On the morning of September 12, the air-lift installation of the cryogenic liquid ammonia storage tank for the Chifeng Yuangjing Zero-Carbon Hydrogen-Ammonia Project—undertaken by China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Air Separation”)—was successfully completed!

To ensure the successful completion of the gas-lift operation, the project team made meticulous preparations and developed a detailed implementation plan. They identified in advance the key operational sites for the gas lift and assigned the appropriate personnel, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progression of the operation. All team members stepped up to their responsibilities with a strong sense of mission; the Party member commando team took the lead by setting an exemplary standard and fully demonstrating their pioneering and exemplary role. At 6:00 a.m., as dawn was just breaking in the north, all personnel had already assembled for a final technical briefing and reconfirmation of task assignments, quickly heading to their respective positions and getting everything ready. At precisely 6:58 a.m., the gas-lift operation began on time. The bottom fans of the storage tank spun rapidly, workers were bustling about on the tank’s top, and the dome inside the tank slowly rose upward—like a giant shield steadily soaring into the sky.

Under the strict premise of safety and quality, and through the united collaboration of all personnel, the dome was finally lifted smoothly over a period of exactly 2 hours and 58 minutes, rising steadily by 23.5 meters. At precisely 9:56 a.m., the dome perfectly aligned with the pressure-bearing ring on the tank’s top. The highest point of the dome reached 31.759 meters above ground, and the entire lifting operation was successfully completed in one seamless step.

The project officially broke ground on February 21 of this year. Currently, the design work is largely complete, and both procurement and construction progress are more than halfway finished, with steady advancement underway. The successful completion of this gas-lift operation has effectively hit the “fast-forward” button for the project’s main construction phase, marking the transition to the inner-tank construction stage. Upon completion, this project will become another exemplary undertaking for China Air Separation in implementing the nation’s “Dual Carbon” strategy and deepening its expertise in the field of cryogenic storage tanks. It will continue to contribute Air Separation’s strength toward helping local areas build zero-carbon chemical parks and accelerate the development of a green industrial system!
