Good news keeps coming! China Air Separation has successfully secured the contract for the 49,000 m³ cryogenic liquid ammonia storage tank and supporting facilities project for Jiangsu Andefu.

In the golden autumn of September, good news keeps coming! On September 12, China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Air Separation”) and Jiangsu Andefu Storage Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jiangsu Andefu”) successfully signed a contract for the construction of a new 49,000 m³ cryogenic liquid ammonia storage tank and associated facilities at Jiangsu Andefu Storage Co., Ltd. The signing ceremony was held at Jiangsu Andefu’s premises, where Xu Xianghui, General Manager of China Air Separation, and Chen Wei, General Manager of Jiangsu Andefu, signed the project contract on behalf of their respective companies.

Li Taoyuan, Chairman of Nanjing Shenghang Marine Transport Co., Ltd.; Chen Wei, General Manager of Jiangsu Andefu Warehousing Co., Ltd.; Shen Shizhou, Chairman and Chief Project Commander of Sinopec Nanjing Qingjiang Logistics Co., Ltd.; Ji Hongchen, Project Manager of Andefu Warehousing Company; as well as Lou Jiangning, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd.; Xu Xianghui, General Manager; Li Jijie, Deputy General Manager; and Zhang Xiaodong, Deputy Chief Engineer, attended the signing ceremony.

The project has been designated as a major project for Nanjing City in 2024. Located in the Yudai Area, Plot Y09-1 of the Nanjing New Materials Science and Technology Park, the project covers a construction land area of 168 mu and has a total planned investment of 700 million yuan. The first-phase investment amounts to approximately 380 million yuan. The main facilities to be constructed include one 49,000 m³ cryogenic liquid ammonia (propane-butane) storage tank, two 3,000 m³ ambient-temperature liquid ammonia (propane-butane) spherical tanks, a highway loading and unloading platform, and related supporting ancillary facilities. Upon commissioning, the project is expected to handle an annual throughput of liquid ammonia...

During the signing ceremony, both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on project construction and business cooperation. Chen Wei, General Manager of Jiangsu Andefu, stated that Andefu is currently one of the leading enterprises in China’s liquid ammonia supply chain—large-scale, well-managed, and highly reliable. Adhering to the development philosophy of green and low-carbon energy, Andefu continues to expand into the green ammonia-hydrogen energy market. He expressed hope that, taking this project as a starting point, both sides could fully launch deepened cooperation and work together to build high-quality projects.

Lou Jiangning, Party Secretary and Chairman of the company, expressed his gratitude for Andefu’s strong recognition and robust support of China Air Separation. He pointed out that China Air Separation has consistently and actively implemented the nation’s low-carbon and green development strategy and safeguarded energy security. In the field of cryogenic storage, the company has honed advanced core technologies, accumulated extensive project experience, and delivered numerous high-quality projects. Lou Jiangning and his delegation also paid a visit to Li Taoyuan, Chairman of Shenghang Co., Ltd. Li Taoyuan congratulated them on the successful signing of this project and expressed his hope that Shenghang Co., Ltd. and China Air Separation would further deepen their cooperation, innovate their collaboration models, achieve more fruitful outcomes, continuously advance the development and construction of green energy, and jointly contribute to the country’s clean energy development and the realization of the “dual-carbon” goals.

Lou Jiangning and his delegation visited the exhibition hall of Shenghang Co., Ltd. Through a documentary and guided explanations, they gained an in-depth understanding of Shenghang’s development journey as well as its status in the waterborne transportation of hazardous chemicals, its safety and environmental management practices, and its clean energy supply chain.
