Youth shines through trials and tribulations; life is elevated through struggle. As we celebrate the May Fourth Youth Day, let’s step into the ranks of young people at China Air Separation and explore their youthful figures—dedicated to their posts and fighting bravely on the front lines.
01 Rooted in the Field, Learning and Growing
At the Da’an project site in Jilin, young team member Zhong Yuhao took on responsibilities including integrating materials and archiving project documents, tracking the status of equipment transportation, and confirming the arrival of on-site equipment. To ensure the smooth progress of the project, he remained firmly rooted at the site, studied diligently, and actively coordinated with staff from the project department. He never left work until each daily task was completed, effectively monitoring and accelerating every stage of the project’s construction. The Da’an project has witnessed his growth and hard work, and it is here that he has achieved a remarkable transformation in his technical capabilities.
02 Fight bravely at the forefront and rise to meet challenges.
The 50,000 m³ cryogenic liquid ammonia storage tank for the fifth phase of the Lianyungang Rongtai Project was successfully lifted into place on April 19. To ensure the safe and smooth completion of this critical milestone, all members of the project’s young commando team stepped forward, faced challenges head-on, and conducted comprehensive inspections and confirmations of the “balancing system,” “blowing system,” “measurement system,” and “sealing system.” They systematically checked off each item to ensure that every detail met both technical requirements and safety standards. Ultimately, the dome—weighing a total of 505.5 tons—was successfully raised to the top of the storage tank, which stands over 34 meters high.
03 Strive for Perfection and Uphold Our Responsibilities
The installation work for the JinHua Health Bio-Industry Park Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade and Connection Project is 90% complete. Youth League member Wang Yafeng has been stationed on-site, meticulously verifying the models and specifications of equipment in the chemical dosing room with a spirit of striving for perfection. He sets equipment parameters according to design requirements and manufacturer’s technical guidelines, and conducts individual machine tests. Through his unwavering dedication, he has honed exceptional skills and become a confident young professional in the air separation field, proactively embracing the mission and responsibilities of youth in the new era.
04 Go deep into the front lines and put theory into practice.
“Learning from books alone always feels superficial; true understanding comes only from hands-on practice.” To bridge the gap between design theory and real-world site conditions, under the guidance of experienced seniors, young chemical engineers have been venturing deep into project sites. They carefully observe, meticulously document, and strive to translate design concepts from paper into concrete engineering projects. As they continuously accumulate practical experience, they not only learn how to adjust design plans according to actual conditions and solve on-site problems but also actively engage in project management and team collaboration. They are working hard to become a new generation of air separation professionals—idealistic, responsible, resilient, and committed—who will dedicate their youthful energy to driving the development of the chemical industry.
05 Steadfastly Embrace Our Mission and Serve Society
While harnessing the vibrant energy of youth and driving the company’s high-quality development, China Air Separation’s young employees keep in mind the “greater interests of the nation,” remain true to their original aspirations, and bravely shoulder their mission.
