— A Visit to Qiu Jin’s Former Residence
Don't say that women aren't heroic and chivalrous—loyal devotion to the country relies on the strength of beautiful women. On March 6, female employees visited the former residence of Qiu Jin, the “Lady Hero of Jianhu,” with deep reverence. Qiu Jin was a pioneer of women’s rights and women’s education in China and a devoted activist in the modern democratic revolution. In her brief life, she set an exemplary example by dedicating her own life to the noble cause of fighting against feudalism and striving for national liberation. She heroically sacrificed herself to overthrow thousands of years of feudal rule and played a tremendous role in advancing the women’s liberation movement.
Following the guide’s footsteps, the female employees toured the historic residence, where they saw relics and artifacts brimming with historical memories. At exhibits such as the “China Women’s Gazette,” founded by Qiu Jin, they listened to moving stories of the revolutionary era and were deeply inspired by the spirit of women heroes. As they solemnly commemorated this heroic woman and revolutionary martyr, they were profoundly moved by Qiu Jin’s revolutionary spirit—her fearless defiance against tyranny, her courage to fight boldly, her relentless drive to strive forward, and her willingness to face death without fear. They pledged to carry forward the spirit of revolutionary struggle, remain firmly committed to the Party, and embark on a new journey toward their dreams.
