For five consecutive years, the Party Committee of China Air Separation has been organizing voluntary blood donation activities in the spirit of Lei Feng.

The spirit of Lei Feng lives on, and we put our passion into action to stay true to our original aspirations! As the anniversary of Lei Feng’s memorial day approaches, On March 4, the Party Committee and trade union of China Air Separation organized a voluntary blood-donation event in tribute to Lei Feng. A large number of Party members and employees actively participated. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the company’s Party Committee has organized such a voluntary blood-donation activity, truly using the “red of Party building” to inspire the “red of life” and ensuring that the spirit of Lei Feng continues to be passed down through the new era.
1. Roll up your sleeves and spread positive energy.
As soon as the call for voluntary blood donation was issued, all Party branches responded enthusiastically, immediately launching mobilization efforts. Party members and cadres took the lead and stepped forward bravely, while a large number of Party members and the general public eagerly joined the voluntary blood-donation campaign.
That afternoon, the Air Separation Building was filled with warmth and great love. Everyone registered and underwent medical checks in an orderly manner, rolling up their sleeves with full enthusiasm and passing on the “red” positive energy of the Air Separation team with burning passion. On that day, nearly 30 people successfully donated blood, totaling 8,300 milliliters. Colleagues who were unable to donate blood on-site due to work commitments will schedule a visit to the blood bank at a later date to make their donation.
2. For five consecutive years, an increasing number of “Lei Feng Heroes” have joined in.
Looking back to 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck unexpectedly, the blood bank inventory at the Zhejiang Provincial Blood Center was critically low. At that time, it happened to be March 5—the anniversary of Lei Feng’s memorial day. In this extraordinary moment, the Party Committee of China Air Separation issued a call to all Party members and cadres, urging them to donate blood voluntarily and embody the spirit of Lei Feng by using their warm hearts to safeguard lives.
The Party Committee of China Air Separation will annually... March 5 has been designated as the company’s “Learn from Lei Feng—Blood Donation Day,” and a long-term mechanism known as the “Three Ones” has been established and refined. Specifically, each year on Lei Feng Day, an appeal is issued to all Party members and employees; each year, in collaboration with the Zhejiang Provincial Blood Center, a centralized blood-donation event is organized; and each year, a concentrated campaign is conducted to promote and educate on the core socialist values. Over the past five years, one after another “Lei Feng Heroes” from the air separation division have come together, and touching stories have emerged: Among them are “veteran blood donors” who have voluntarily donated blood for many consecutive years, with individual donation records totaling over 6,000 milliliters and earning them national and Zhejiang provincial awards for voluntary blood donation; there are Party members with the rare “Panda blood type,” who have used their own life-saving blood to help patients with rare blood types overcome critical moments; and there are Party members who have voluntarily donated blood for five consecutive years, steadfastly dedicating their warm hearts and blood to others. We’re contributing our modest efforts, and at the same time, we’ve inspired newly hired employees to join the ranks of blood donors.
Now, an increasing number of LGBTQ+ individuals are joining the ranks of blood donors, and both the number of donors and the volume of blood donated have been growing year after year, with the cumulative number of donors reaching— A total of 183 individuals have donated blood, accumulating over 54,600 milliliters—a continuous relay of compassion! For three consecutive years, China Air Separation has been listed on the “Lei Feng Study” Team Voluntary Blood Donation Honor Roll released by the Zhejiang Provincial Blood Center.
Over the years, China Air Separation has actively embraced its responsibilities as a central state-owned enterprise. Whether it’s providing consumption assistance to other central enterprises, supporting rural education, or aiding in earthquake relief and disaster rescue efforts, you’ll always find China Air Separation employees volunteering their time and energy to serve society. The spirit of Lei Feng lives on—our dedication and passion for giving never cease! The Party Committee of the company will continue to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on deepening the study and practice of Lei Feng’s spirit, inspiring all Party members and cadres to reflect on their original aspirations and missions, carry forward the spiritual legacy, and ensure that the spirit of Lei Feng shines even more brilliantly in the new era!
