This June marks the 23rd National “Safety Production Month,” with the theme “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond—Keeping Lifelines Clear.” To deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on safety production, to carry out the major decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on safety production, to further advance the three-year action plan for addressing the root causes of safety production, and to actively foster a positive atmosphere in which all employees pay attention to safety and everyone participates in ensuring safety, China Air Separation has closely focused on the theme of “Safety Production Month” and carried out a series of thematic activities in a solid and effective manner.

1. Strengthen safety awareness and enhance safety communication and education.

To firmly establish a sense of safety responsibility and awareness of the “red line,” the company has carried out in-depth publicity and study activities on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on work safety. Members of the company’s leadership team have taken the lead in studying and disseminating these ideas through centralized study sessions held at the Party Committee meetings and the Party Committee’s theoretical study group, and have watched the promotional video titled “Work Safety: Responsibility Lies on Our Shoulders.” All party branches, functional departments, engineering companies, and project sites have comprehensively conducted safety publicity activities, continuously advancing the “Five Entrances” initiative for safety promotion. Throughout the month, a total of 13 themed publicity and study sessions were held under the banner of “Work Safety Month.”

II. Conduct safety drills to strengthen emergency response capabilities.

To effectively enhance the emergency response capabilities of project personnel in the event of a safety accident, each project site has not only held well-organized kickoff meetings for “Safety Production Month,” carefully displayed safety slogans, and carried out extensive safety awareness campaigns, but has also specially organized emergency drills for safety accidents, comprehensively honing the emergency handling and safety assurance skills of project personnel.

III. Organize safety inspections and strengthen remediation training.

We will carry out dynamic zeroing-out of major accident hazards by focusing on tackling hidden risks, and engage all employees in creating distinctive safety culture brand activities. We will implement full-process management for both operation-and-maintenance projects and ongoing construction projects, organizing regular safety inspections. For critical safety areas such as operation-and-maintenance projects and kitchen gas systems, we will conduct “look-back” safety rectifications. We will launch the “Woodpecker” initiative to collect case studies and promote educational activities based on “typical production safety accident cases.” Additionally, we will organize training and education programs covering confined space operations, safety awareness, comprehensive responsibility systems, fire safety, and emergency procedures for elevators, thereby enhancing the overall safety competence and capabilities of all employees.

Safety awareness must always be kept in our hearts, safety responsibilities must always rest on our shoulders, and safe production must always be a continuous journey. Moving forward, the company will steadfastly and rigorously fulfill its primary responsibility for safe production, effectively manage accident risks, eliminate safety hazards, enhance emergency response capabilities, and provide solid support for the company’s safe and high-quality development.
