To further enhance our role in guiding, uniting, and serving young people and to strive to build a platform for young talents to exchange ideas and grow, thereby bolstering their motivation and drive, on the morning of September 14, the company’s Party Committee, in collaboration with the Youth League General Branch and the Trade Union, held a youth-themed event titled “Warmth of Mid-Autumn Festival, Welcoming National Day, and Sharing Stories of Growth.” General Manager Xu Xianghui attended the event, which was chaired by Party Committee Member and Trade Union Chairman Shang Jianbing. Attendees included representatives from relevant departments of the Party Committee, the Trade Union, and the Youth League General Branch, as well as newly hired graduates of recent years, young employee representatives, and mentor-apprentice pairing representatives.

A Young Employee’s Journey of Onboarding and Growth
At the start of the event, everyone watched together the video interview clip titled “A Young Employee’s Journey of Onboarding and Growth,” revisiting the growth journey of young employees and experiencing their sense of joy and fulfillment as well as their gratitude toward their mentors.

I’ve grown together with the company.
During the event, Comrade Lu Yijun, Secretary of the company’s Youth League General Branch, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Energy Company, and Assistant to the General Manager of the Energy Company, shared her growth journey and work experience since joining the Air Division after graduating from university. As the company’s first mid-level cadre born in the 1990s, she advised young employees to bravely forge their own unique identities through their own hard work and determination, to surround themselves with excellent mentors and supportive friends, and to continuously strive to become better versions of themselves—always maintaining a humble, open-minded attitude toward learning and remaining modest in all they do.

Mentor-mentee dialogue for growth
“Party members lead the masses, and mentors guide their apprentices”—this is an important talent-development approach adopted by the branch company to pass on experience and foster growth. At the event, four mentor-apprentice pairs shared their insights and stories from their pairing journey, ensuring that the spirit of “leveraging the roles of ‘transmission, assistance, and guidance’ to accelerate the growth and development of young employees” is passed down from generation to generation!

New Mentor-Protégé Pairing Ceremony
To further leverage the effectiveness of the “mentor-apprentice pairing” program, a formal mentor-apprentice pairing ceremony for the new year was held on-site. Li Yanpeng, the mentor from the gas company, and his apprentice Wu Jianan; Lou Shenglong, the mentor from the chemical company, and his apprentices Li Miao and Ren Zhijiang, and Xiong Zhongwei—each pair jointly signed the “Mentor-Apprentice Agreement.” The three mentors also presented their apprentices with the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” providing them with valuable resources to support their learning and personal development.

Youth Employee Panel Discussion and Sharing
During the event, young employees engaged in exchanges and shared their insights, actively offering suggestions and advice, as well as sharing their reflections, challenges, and valuable recommendations for the company’s future development.

Company leaders offer words of encouragement for young people’s growth.

Party Committee Member and Trade Union Chairman Shang Jianbing put forward three expectations for young employees: First, cherish your work—embrace a sense of ownership and love the company wholeheartedly, transforming your mission into passion and motivation for hard work. Second, cherish your relationships—learn to be tolerant and grateful, and express thanks for the pressures, platforms, opportunities, and trust you’ve been given. Third, cherish what you already have—maintain your enthusiasm for your work, actively showcase yourself, continuously expand your capabilities, and ensure that your work brings you a sense of fulfillment, responsibility, and accomplishment.

General Manager Xu Xianghui extended heartfelt encouragement to the young employees. He emphasized that young employees should seize the opportunity presented by their youth and the mentorship pairing program to diligently acquire knowledge and skills. They should adopt various approaches—thinking creatively, learning proactively, and studying with dedication and effort. It is crucial for them to focus on developing and enhancing their learning abilities, putting what they learn into practice, and solidifying their learning skills and boosting work efficiency through hands-on experience. He put forward four key requirements for the young employees:
First, put down deep roots, cultivate thoroughly and meticulously, and keep learning continuously.
Second, grow upward, confront difficulties head-on, and push beyond your limits.
Third, think inwardly, be good at reflection, and summarize and improve.
Fourth, embrace external integration, consolidate resources, and foster innovation.
In the report to the 20th National Congress of the Party, General Secretary Xi Jinping stated: “If the youth are strong, then the nation will be strong.” The career journey of young employees has just begun. Let us join hands and move forward together, shining with youthful brilliance on the vast stage of the air separation company, and tirelessly strive to realize both our personal dreams and the company’s vision! Together, let us create a new horizon for the company’s development!
