The China Air Separation Industry Association’s election conference was successfully held.

On December 24, the election conference for the renewal of the trade union committee of China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Air Separation”) was successfully held. Zhang Peng, member of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager, and Chairman of the Trade Union of China Pudong Development Bank; Xu Xianghui, Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee and Chairman of the Board; and Li Jijie, Deputy Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee and General Manager, attended the conference. The meeting was chaired by Lu Yijun, a member of the 4th-term Trade Union Committee and Vice Chairperson, and was attended by all representatives of the trade union members.

The conference opened with the solemn playing of the national anthem. Representing the Fourth Trade Union Committee, Jianbing Shi delivered a work report titled “Unite Hearts and Pool Strength for Development, Forge Ahead with Determination to Write a New Chapter—Fully Delivering on the Trade Union’s Mission of Promoting Enterprise Development and Caring for Employees.” The report systematically reviewed the trade union’s work and achievements over the past several years, focusing on ten key points across four main areas: building a “Learning Home,” a “Striving Home,” a “Warm Home,” and a “Harmonious Home.” It also put forward recommendations for the trade union’s work over the next three years.

Hu Yangjun, representing the Fourth Committee for Review of Union Funds, delivered a work report summarizing the use and management of union funds over the past three years.

The congress reviewed and approved the work report of the 4th Trade Union Committee of China Air Separation and the work report of the Trade Union Funds Supervisory Committee.

Li Jijie read out the Zhejiang Provincial Government Organs Trade Union’s “Reply Approving the Convening of the 5th Members’ Congress of the China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd. Trade Union.”

After voting by all member representatives, the following members were elected to the 5th Trade Union Committee of China Air Separation: Xu Shuangmei, Qiu Xiangxing, Zhang Jiawen, Yao Haifang, He Yuehong, Shi Jianbing, and Fu Lu (listed in order of the number of strokes in their surnames). Additionally, the following members were elected to the 5th Trade Union Fund Supervisory Committee: Fang Zhongshuai, Yang Daitzhu, and Gu Qinmei (also listed in order of the number of strokes in their surnames).

Yao Haifang, representing the newly elected committee members, delivered a statement expressing that the new-term trade union committee will certainly live up to everyone’s trust and expectations. We will remain true to our original aspirations, diligently fulfill our trade union mission, cultivate a craftsman’s spirit, actively embrace our trade union responsibilities, and work together with one heart to promptly convey the warmth of the trade union. We will spare no effort to build the air separation trade union into an organization that values unity, is capable of overcoming challenges, and promotes development—thus contributing our part to the company’s goal of becoming a first-class, technology-driven engineering firm in China!

Xu Xianghui, on behalf of the company’s Party Committee, extended warm congratulations to the newly elected members of the trade union committee. At the same time, he expressed full recognition and gratitude for the hard work and dedication of all members of the previous trade union committee. He also put forward four key requirements for the new trade union committee and the future work of the trade union: Raise our political awareness, firmly steer the “helm” of our convictions, and open up new horizons in trade union work; Strengthen our own capacity-building, powerfully propel the “oars” of responsibility, and enhance the competence of trade union officials in performing their duties; Serve the overall development agenda, securely anchor ourselves to the “anchor” of continuous learning, and forge a high-quality workforce; Focus on our core responsibilities and main tasks, hoist the “sail” of practical action, and promote the harmonious and stable development of the company.

Zhang Peng, representing the China SPD Union, congratulated the successful convening of this conference. He noted that China SPD has consistently shown concern for and provided support to the trade union work at China Air Separation. He expressed his hope that the new term of the union committee would build on past achievements and take China Air Separation’s union work to new heights. Furthermore, he put forward three hopes and requirements for the new union committee: strengthen self-construction and turn attentiveness into a core cultural value; safeguard workers’ rights and interests and strive for unity to the utmost degree; and foster consensus on development by making feedback a habitual practice.

The conference came to a successful close amid rousing international songs. Following the conference, the newly elected Trade Union Committee and the Trade Union Fund Supervision Committee held their first meetings of the fifth term respectively. Jianbing Sheng was elected as the chairman of the fifth-term Trade Union, Haifang Yao as the vice-chairman, Jiawen Zhang as the director of the Women Workers’ Committee, and Zhongshuai Fang as the director of the fifth-term Trade Union Fund Supervision Committee. After review and approval by the Party Committee of the company, the appointments will be submitted to the Zhejiang Provincial Direct-affiliated Institutions Trade Union for ratification.
