When you stand before it, what meets your eyes and touches your heart is not only its timeless charm but also a profound sense of reverence for the wisdom of our ancestors—the ingenious hydraulic engineering project that has benefited generations to come. Stepping into the Art Town of Painters’ Village, strolling along the smooth cobblestones of ancient alleyways—suddenly, it feels as if you’ve wandered into a painter’s dreamlike dye workshop. Here, the birthplace of Lishui Barbizon oil painting, every corner exudes a poetic fragrance; each scenic vista is like a natural masterpiece, waiting for people to admire and capture on canvas.
The mountain hues blend softly with the shadows of distant sails, as if drifting into a dream on the Oujiang River. This picturesque village is nestled along the most breathtaking stretch of the 800-li Oujiang.
