As we enter the final sprint of the year-end period, in order to unite all forces within the company and strive to deliver a high-quality “answer sheet” for this year’s extensive discussion on liberating minds, and to fully propel the company’s high-quality development, the Party Committee of China Air Separation held a United Front Work Conference for 2024 on the afternoon of December 30, with the theme “Unite Hearts and Gather Strength—Love the Enterprise, Offer Wise Suggestions, and Make Contributions.” Xu Xianghui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board, Li Jijie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, and Shang Jianbing, Member of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Chairman of the Trade Union, attended the meeting. Representatives from the United Front circles and relevant personnel from the Party Committee’s working departments also participated. The meeting was chaired by Li Jijie.
The participants first jointly studied the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference. From topics such as “using technological innovation to drive the development of new-quality productivity and build a modern industrial system,” launching the “AI Plus” initiative, and fostering emerging future industries, they drew inspiration for thinking about the company’s blueprint for innovative development.
Representatives from various engineering companies, who are targets of united front work, shared their insights under the theme “One Gain, One Reflection, and One Suggestion”—a “Three Ones” special session—sharing their valuable experiences and lessons learned from their work.
The meeting featured a symposium titled “Love the Enterprise, Offer Wise Suggestions, and Make Contributions.” This was also the first symposium organized by the company’s newly elected Party Committee. Participants put forward sincere and earnest opinions and suggestions on topics including market development, technological breakthroughs, reform and development, and management innovation.
United Front’s “Good Voice”
Miao Zhangzhen, from the Gas Engineering Company—on the path to becoming a first-class, technology-driven engineering services expert in China, the company’s development is gaining ever greater momentum. The trends of market segmentation and diversifying customer needs are becoming increasingly pronounced, which calls on us to precisely identify our customers’ core requirements, promptly adjust our market strategies and product positioning, and explore digital transformation and artificial intelligence to ensure the company’s long-term growth.
Zhang Xi from the Energy Engineering Company—reflecting on the “Four Questions of the Soul,” particularly the question “Have we remained steadfast in our goals, and is our level of commitment sufficient?”—felt deeply fulfilled and successfully achieved the objectives she set at the beginning of the year. Moving forward, she will continue to put these principles into practice in her projects, keep learning continuously,不断提升 her skills, and broaden her horizons, ensuring that she remains unwavering in her goals and firmly committed to her vision.
Xiong Defen, from the environmental engineering company, shared valuable insights gained while engaging in “market development, technological breakthroughs, and management innovation”: Market development requires the participation of everyone—just like weaving a vast net to deeply cultivate the market. Technological breakthroughs must keep pace with the times to ensure that projects remain highly competitive. Management innovation provides a solid safeguard for project operations, making project advancement more efficient.
Chen Yu, from the chemical engineering company, was fortunate enough to join the company soon after graduating from a foreign university. With the support of his team, he has made significant progress in procurement and cost estimation work. At the same time, he has deeply appreciated the sense of responsibility and commitment that comes with being part of a central state-owned enterprise, as well as the company’s culture of harmony, unity, and proactive advancement. This year, he proudly submitted an application to join the Communist Party and is actively striving to align himself with the Party organization, continuously contributing to the company’s development.
After carefully listening to the remarks made by the participants, Xu Xianghui, on behalf of the company’s Party Committee, expressed gratitude for everyone’s valuable suggestions and advice. He emphasized that the company’s achievements in development would not have been possible without the hard work and dedicated efforts of all United Front personnel. He then put forward three hopes and requirements:
First, we must adopt a higher perspective and solidify our ideological foundation. We need to further elevate our vantage point, clearly recognize the current challenges, continuously strengthen ideological guidance, work together in solidarity, and firmly establish the ideological foundation for united striving.
Second, we must strengthen our sense of responsibility and consolidate the united front work framework. We need to further refine the overarching united front work framework, build bridges and bonds, ensure smooth channels for offering advice and suggestions, and promote the effective implementation of all tasks.
Third, we must step up our sense of responsibility and pool our collective strengths for development. We need to leverage our professional advantages more effectively, demonstrate greater initiative, and work together in harmony, resonating in sync with the company’s growth.
The meeting called for making even better use of the “united front” strategy—a vital tool—during this critical period of the company’s reform and development. We must unify our thinking, each fulfill our respective duties, and work together with one heart to overcome difficulties and achieve victory. With closer unity and more tenacious efforts, we will continue to propel the company’s high-quality development forward!
