They are committed to breaking free from the constraints of traditional operation and inspection methods, and have developed a comprehensive, intelligent, unmanned, and round-the-clock inspection system. This system provides robust support for the safe and efficient operation of air separation and LNG plants, while also setting a new course for the future development of the industry.

China Air Separation’s Innovative Exploration in AI-Powered Intelligent Inspection—The Robot Dog Intelligent Inspection Device. Initially integrated with the DeepSeek interface, this device is equipped with a powerful “intelligent brain” that enables deep data mining and precise analysis of inspection data. It can instantly and accurately assess the operational status of equipment and provide highly forward-looking and instructive maintenance recommendations. The robot dog is outfitted with an advanced audio detection system, a high-definition thermal imaging camera, and a high-precision gimbal-based leak detection device. Combined with cutting-edge AI recognition technology, it boasts superpowers akin to “sharp ears” and “x-ray vision,” allowing it to keenly detect even the slightest anomalies during equipment operation. With exceptional efficiency and accuracy, it flawlessly carries out inspection tasks, providing solid and reliable assurance for the safety and stability of production operations.

Previously, China Air Separation has already deployed outdoor wheeled inspection robots and rail-mounted inspection robots in projects, setting a successful precedent in the application of AI technology and leaving a firm and resolute footprint.
Application Case 1: Smart “Intelligent Sentinel” for Equipment Inspection in Smart Factories

In the smart factory project for LNG storage and peak-shaving stations undertaken by China Air Separation, the outdoor explosion-proof wheeled inspection robot plays a crucial role. Utilizing advanced image recognition and data analysis technologies, the robot acts like an indefatigable “intelligent sentinel,” capable of quickly and accurately identifying equipment abnormalities and environmental risks. It conducts comprehensive, scheduled inspections of the plant, using its onboard AI-powered sensing devices to monitor in real time both the operational status of equipment and the concentrations of ambient gases. Once any abnormality is detected, the robot immediately issues an alert, thereby establishing a robust defense for safe production and effectively ensuring the stable operation of the project.
Application Case 2: Rail-mounted Inspection—The “Safety Guardian” for Aviation Fuel and LNG Power Distribution

China Air Separation has deployed rail-mounted inspection robots in the switchgear rooms of multiple air separation and LNG plants. These robots freely shuttle along tracks, equipped with high-definition cameras, infrared thermal imagers, and high-precision gas sensors. Leveraging AI algorithms, they perform intelligent analysis on the data they collect. The robots can accurately monitor equipment operating parameters, temperature changes, visual conditions, and gas concentrations, promptly identifying potential hazards and providing expert maintenance recommendations. This innovative application has significantly enhanced inspection efficiency, effectively reduced potential risks, and provided a reliable guarantee for the stable operation of switchgear rooms.
Application Case 3: The “Cloud Guardian” Smart Inspection Drone for Utility Tunnels

China Air Separation has deployed “Cloud Guardian” pipeline and pipe corridor intelligent inspection drones for inspection operations in multiple air separation and LNG plants. This equipment provides all-around protection for every inch of industrial infrastructure—whether it’s the tiniest cracks on pipe surfaces, unusual noises emitted during equipment operation, or potential risks of flammable gas leaks, none can escape its keen “sharp eyes.” Not only has this significantly enhanced safety performance, but it has also markedly reduced the inspection workload and pressure on personnel.
As DeepSeek sparks an AI-driven transformation both domestically and internationally, the importance of AI technology in business operations continues to grow.
