To ensure that enterprises fulfill their primary responsibility for workplace safety, promote the thorough implementation of all safety measures for resuming work and production at ongoing construction projects and operation-and-maintenance initiatives, effectively fortify the safety defense line, and secure a strong start to year-round safety efforts, Xu Xianghui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CNASEC, along with General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Li Jijie and other members of the leadership team, recently visited various project sites to conduct safety inspections in preparation for the resumption of work and production.

On March 5, Xu Xianghui, accompanied by Sang Jianbing, a member of the company’s Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, conducted a safety inspection at the wastewater treatment operation and maintenance project in Daishan County, Zhoushan City. During the on-site visit, they reviewed the implementation of the “Special Plan for Preventing Safety Risks during Resumption of Work and Production” and assessed the safe production conditions at the three wastewater treatment operation and maintenance sites. Xu Xianghui emphasized that the project team must rigorously carry out tiered safety training for new employees, conduct accident-prevention education and awareness campaigns, organize emergency response drills for confined-space operations, and strengthen pre-job risk identification and hazard detection. He further stressed that project management personnel must fulfill their duties conscientiously, closely monitor safety risks and hazards, and promptly implement preventive and corrective measures to eliminate them.

On March 12, Li Jijie and his delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the Jiangsu Andefu Low-Temperature Liquid Ammonia Project, rigorously comparing their findings against the requirements of the resumption-of-work and production plan. They carried out a comprehensive review of the implementation of key measures, including staff training, accident-prevention awareness campaigns, pre-startup hazard identification and remediation, and emergency response drills. Li Jijie emphasized that the project team must draw broader lessons from this inspection to ensure that all safety measures are effectively put into practice, thereby providing robust safety guarantees for the critical phase of finalizing construction and commissioning and laying a solid foundation for achieving year-round safe production.

Shen Huxiang, Deputy General Manager of the company, and Zhang Xingdong, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, separately traveled to the Wastewater Operation and Maintenance Project at the Jinhua Health Bio-Industry Park and the Smart Transformation Project at Nangang Steel to conduct safety inspections. The inspections focused on key areas such as staff training and pre-use inspection and maintenance of construction equipment and tools. They urged all project teams to resolutely overcome complacency, firmly embrace the safety production philosophy of “zero tolerance for even the slightest oversight—any single lapse could lead to catastrophic consequences,” and ensure that projects resume work and production safely and in an orderly manner.

Relevant personnel from CNASEC’s Safety Production Department and various engineering companies participated in the safety inspection.
