To solidly advance the study and education campaign on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, and to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions, instructions, and directives on work safety, the company has taken preventing and defusing major safety risks and firmly upholding the concept of safe development as key benchmarks for evaluating this view. On June 17, CNASEC convened the third session of its Party Committee Theoretical Study Center Group and the second expanded meeting of its Work Safety Committee. The meeting was chaired by Xu Xianghui, Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee and Chairman, and was attended by members of the Party Committee Theoretical Study Center Group, heads of all engineering companies (and departments), secretaries of Party branches, members of the Work Safety Committee, and members of the Safety Office.
The meeting focused on studying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on work safety, screened educational videos highlighting typical accident cases, and further reinforced throughout the company an understanding of the critical importance of workplace safety. Participants were urged to keep safety awareness firmly in mind at all times, ensuring the coordinated advancement of high-quality development and a high level of safety. Xu Ming, Deputy Director of the Work Safety Department, conveyed and interpreted the spirit of the State Machinery Industry Corporation and Sumida Group’s work‑safety conferences.
Li Jijie, Deputy Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee and General Manager, delivered a special briefing on the State Council SASAC’s “Ten Strict Measures” for workplace safety, emphasizing the need to resolutely implement the responsibility system for production safety, thoroughly internalize these measures in both thought and action, and maintain unwavering vigilance in safety management. He underscored the importance of firmly upholding the safety bottom line and ensuring high‑level safety to underpin the company’s high‑quality, sustainable development.
Participants further engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges, focusing on their respective areas of responsibility and closely linking these to their own ideological realities, while examining both positive and negative exemplary cases related to fostering and practicing a correct view of political achievements, as well as the National 15th Five-Year Plan Outline.
Xu Xianghui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, delivered a concluding address. He emphasized the need to continuously deepen and solidify efforts to foster and put into practice a correct view of political achievements, upholding a commitment to pragmatic action and rigorous implementation of corrective measures, thereby ensuring that this guiding principle is integrated throughout the entire process of high-quality development. He also stressed the imperative of resolutely implementing all directives on workplace safety, firmly embracing the philosophy of “zero tolerance for even the slightest lapse, as one single mistake could have catastrophic consequences,” comprehensively strengthening the foundation of workplace safety, and making every effort to safeguard the company’s high‑quality, sustainable growth. In addition, he outlined four key requirements for the company’s current priority tasks:
First, we have achieved precise positioning and established a clear course for future development. By aligning closely with the nation’s overarching strategic priorities, we have strategically mapped out our development blueprint for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, steadfastly upholding our core identity as a technology‑driven engineering firm.
Second, we will expand our market footprint and seize emerging growth opportunities. By deepening engagement with existing customers, unlocking new sources of growth, capturing untapped blue‑ocean markets, and building distinctive competitive advantages, we will drive synergistic momentum across both domestic and international markets.
Third, we will rigorously strengthen our internal capabilities and optimize operational efficiency. By addressing key bottlenecks and refining our performance evaluation system, we will comprehensively elevate our management and operational standards, ensuring the smooth and steady execution of all tasks.
Fourth, we will strengthen ideological fortification through Party building leadership. We will continue to deepen the guiding role of our value-based Party‑building system, seamlessly integrate it with SUMEC’s corporate culture, invigorate our Party‑building brand, and make every effort to achieve our annual goals and tasks.
