Foreword: 2024 is a pivotal year for our company—a year in which we will seize opportunities, build momentum, and empower ourselves to catch up, surpass others, and accelerate high-quality development. The Party Committee of China Air Separation has launched the thematic campaign “Pioneers Lead by Example, Shining with Our Party Emblem on the Front Lines,” extensively establishing task forces composed of Party members. Each Party branch is using initiatives such as “Project Led by Branch Secretaries” and “Innovative Projects by Party Members” as platforms. As a result, the vast majority of Party members have further strengthened their determination and confidence to “always strive for the highest honors, always compete for leadership, always overcome difficulties, and always emerge victorious in battle”—charging ahead and fighting at the very forefront!
On April 19, the Lianyungang Rongtai Storage Tank Area Project (Phase V), undertaken by China Air Separation, achieved another significant milestone: the successful completion of the gas lifting operation for the 50,000 m³ cryogenic liquid ammonia storage tank. This marks the third tank to be successfully lifted following the two cryogenic tanks already lifted in September last year, signaling that the project has reached yet another critical milestone and is now fully on track to accelerate progress at full speed.
1. Fight bravely from the front lines and take the lead.
This gas-lift operation for the liquid ammonia storage tank is a critical milestone in the construction of the Rongtai Phase V project. To ensure the smooth execution of the gas-lift, the Party member pioneer team of the Lianyungang Rongtai Phase V project took the lead and rose to the challenge. They promptly established a special task force dedicated to tackling this critical task, conducting comprehensive inspections and verifications of the “balancing system,” “blowing system,” “measurement system,” and “sealing system.” Each item was systematically checked off one by one, ensuring that every detail met both technical requirements and safety standards.
All team members proactively took on challenging tasks and spearheaded the resolution of difficult issues. In the end, after intensive and meticulous preparations, all systems were fully ready.
II. Fully ensure and successfully complete the roof-raising operation.
On April 19, all members of the Pioneer Team worked together in unity and stood ready for action. At 7:17 a.m., following the commander’s order, the lifting of the dome structure officially began! The dome of the cryogenic liquid ammonia storage tank being lifted this time weighs 505.5 tons. The inner radius of the outer tank’s inner wall reaches 23.65 meters, the height of the outer tank’s wall is 34.13 meters, and the dome itself stands 8.303 meters high.
All team members strictly followed the required procedures to ensure the safety of the entire air lifting process. Finally, after 120 minutes, the massive dome was smoothly positioned at its predetermined location at 9:17 a.m., marking the successful completion of the air lifting operation.
Next, the Party member pioneer team of the Lianyungang Rongtai Phase V project will continue their relentless efforts, remaining at the forefront and working together with one heart to overcome all difficulties. They will focus on driving forward the攻坚 efforts for the Rongtai Phase V project, making every possible effort to ensure its timely completion and smooth commissioning. In doing so, they will continue to contribute the strength of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH) to accelerating the development of new-quality productivity, supporting the local region in building a green energy system, and boosting the construction of the Lianyungang Petrochemical Industry Base!
