Project Overview:
The Hainan project represents a collaboration between our company and one of China’s largest energy suppliers—PetroChina. It is a large-scale LNG receiving terminal project located along the coast. As an LNG receiving, storage, and export facility, this project not only serves as the end-point gas supply for major coastal cities but also provides supplemental natural gas to onshore pipeline networks and supplies gas to small-town gasification stations. As part of China’s national LNG strategic reserve system, the project helps balance the relationship between upstream imported LNG sources and downstream market demand for peak-shaving, thereby enhancing both the economic efficiency and security of China’s LNG supply chain.
