Great news! The coal and chemical projects undertaken by China Air Separation have each won the First Prize and Third Prize, respectively, in the 2024 Hangzhou Survey and Design Industry Outstanding Achievements Awards (Other Comprehensive Engineering).

On May 23, the Hangzhou Survey and Design Industry Association released the "Notice on the Announcement of the Results of the 2024 Hangzhou Survey and Design Industry Outstanding Achievement Recognition." The 75,000 Nm³/h air separation project for the synthetic gas-to-1-million-ton-per-year methanol technology upgrade project undertaken by China Air Separation—commissioned by Zhongmei Ordos Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Zhongmei Project")—won the first prize in the "Other Comprehensive Engineering" category. Meanwhile, the tank farm project for the Sinochem Lianyungang Circular Economy Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as the "Sinochem Project") received the third prize in the same category. Both projects were listed, injecting fresh momentum into China Air Separation's ongoing efforts to strengthen technological innovation and accelerate the development of new-quality productivity.
According to the “Notice on Conducting the 2024 Hangzhou Survey and Design Industry Outstanding Achievement Evaluation” issued by the Hangzhou Survey and Design Industry Association, a total of 873 projects were submitted under the comprehensive category, categorized into five groups: architecture (including urban design), geotechnical investigation, municipal engineering, landscape architecture, and other comprehensive projects. After careful review of drawings and documentation, examination of multimedia materials, and thorough discussion, deliberation, and voting by experts from each specialized group, the Zhongmei Project and the Sinochem Project undertaken by our company successfully received recognition from the experts.
The Zhongmei Project is located in the Tuke Industrial Park in Ordos, Inner Mongolia. In September 2018, the company successfully won the bid for this project. In November 2021, the air separation unit was started up successfully on its first attempt, smoothly producing qualified oxygen and nitrogen products. This marks the company's entry into a new stage of undertaking large-scale turnkey air separation EPC projects and represents an important milestone in the field of air separation general contracting! The successful completion of this project has greatly helped the Zhongmei Group build a complete industrial chain for coal chemical development in the Mongolia-Shaanxi region, enabling the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.
The Sinochem project, located in the Xuyu New Area of Lianyungang, was signed in May 2021. It includes two 80,000 m³ double-walled metal cryogenic propane full-containment tanks, providing chemical storage services to enterprises in the Lianyungang Xuyu Petrochemical Park and enabling the park’s resources to be optimally allocated and utilized. In January 2023, the project was awarded the “AAAAA (High-Quality Boutique Project)” rating for construction quality in the chemical engineering sector.
