Fighting hard and charging ahead into the final season—good news on scientific and technological achievements! Recently, the “2024 List of Awards for the China National Machinery Industry Corporation’s Science and Technology Awards” was officially released. The Chinese air separation technology achievement, the “Cloud-Edge-End Integrated Intelligent Chemical Storage Equipment and System” project, has been awarded the Third Prize in the Science and Technology Awards.

It is reported that the China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH) awarded a total of 4 First Prizes, 11 Second Prizes, and 19 Third Prizes in its 2024 Science and Technology Awards. The successful inclusion of China Air Separation’s scientific and technological achievement on this list not only serves as a strong endorsement of both the achievement itself and the company’s strength, but also marks another significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to advancing technological innovation and accelerating the development of new-quality productivity. Moving forward, the company will further strengthen its reliance on technology, build core technologies, and leverage high-quality scientific and technological innovation to open up a new chapter of high-quality development.
2024 National Machinery Industry Corporation Science and Technology Award
Cloud-Edge-End Integrated Intelligent Warehousing Equipment and System The project focuses on key core technological challenges in the warehousing stage of hazardous chemicals, including “high-quality real-time digital twin modeling of storage scenarios” and “highly reliable intelligent prevention and control of storage accidents.” It conducts in-depth research on topics such as modular topology and module library construction methods for chemical warehousing equipment, natively secure intelligent edge controllers based on domestically produced heterogeneous chips, a flexible orchestration software architecture for cloud-edge collaboration along with its information security defense system, and an integrated digital twin and operational simulation platform for AI-driven modular and reconfigurable chemical warehousing systems. The project has not only successfully developed intelligent chemical warehousing equipment and systems based on cloud-edge-end integration, enabling the industrial deployment of its research findings, but has also set a benchmark in the industry and achieved a series of innovative results. It has received support from Zhejiang Province’s Key R&D Program, filed 7 patent applications, and published numerous papers.
The research findings of this project have been successfully applied and promoted at Zhejiang Kefeng New Materials Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Changxing No.1 Chemical Co., Ltd., Pakistan’s Engro Corporation Limited, and other organizations. These results provide key technical guidance for safe production, intelligent prevention and control, and digital twin applications in the storage of hazardous chemicals, thereby fostering the industrial development of smart chemical warehousing equipment and intelligent edge controllers. This work is of great significance in enhancing the digitalization and intelligence of safety management and control in hazardous chemical storage facilities.
