To thoroughly implement the superior authorities’ decisions and arrangements on work safety and to ensure that the company’s work safety situation remains stable and continuously improved, China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as “China Air Separation”) held its first-quarter Work Safety Committee meeting on March 26. The meeting was chaired by Xu Xianghui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, and attended by members of the Work Safety Committee and heads of relevant departments.

The meeting focused on conveying the spirit of the 2025 Work Conference on Safety Production held by Sinomach Group and Sumida Corporation, systematically promoting key documents such as the “Administrative Measures for Safety Production” and the “Regulations on the Responsibility System for Safety Production of Leading Cadres,” summarizing the achievements made in safety production during the first quarter, and outlining the key tasks for the second quarter.

At the meeting, it was announced that adjustments have been made to the composition of the company’s Safety Committee and the Office for Safe Production: Xu Xianghui has been appointed Director of the Safety Committee; Li Jijie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, has been appointed Deputy Director; and Zhang Xingdong and Li Jun have been appointed Chief and Deputy Chief, respectively, of the Office for Safe Production, further strengthening the safety production responsibility system.

Xu Xianghui, taking into account the current situation of safe production, put forward four requirements for work:

1. Raise our political awareness and firmly establish the concept of safe development. We must continuously enhance safety awareness, aiming for “zero accidents,” and coordinate development with safety, genuinely shifting away from the mindset that prioritizes operations over safety.

2. Strengthen leadership accountability and play a leading role in safety. We must strictly implement the responsibility system for safe production, with leading cadres taking the lead by example and establishing a closed-loop accountability system in which each level is responsible for ensuring implementation at the next level.

3. Strengthen safety management and ensure effective safety awareness and training. We must strengthen the safety management of subcontractors, earnestly carry out safety awareness campaigns and training, and build a solid and reliable chain for safe production.

4. Strengthen safety supervision and proactively identify and address safety risks. We must further strengthen safety supervision and inspection, effectively manage the safety of hazardous and major projects as well as risks above a certain level at construction sites, and promptly eliminate all kinds of potential accident hazards.
