Recently, the EPC general contracting project for the 70,000-unit centralized air separation and air compression unit undertaken by China Air Separation in Fujian Fuhai Chuang has reached a significant construction milestone—the successful capping of the core equipment, the “cold box.” This marks a phased victory for the project and signals its full transition into a new stage of equipment installation.

Facing multiple challenges such as concurrent operations and adverse weather conditions, the China Air Separation Fuhai Chuang project team, in collaboration with all relevant parties, engaged in meticulous planning, rigorous organization, and coordinated teamwork. With a spirit of craftsmanship, they rigorously controlled every single process, efficiently completing critical milestones such as the hoisting of cold box wall panels and the positioning of tower equipment. Ultimately, they achieved the goal of topping out the cold box with high quality, high standards, and high efficiency, demonstrating outstanding team cohesion and professional competence.

To ensure the safe completion of this topping-out ceremony, before the commencement of the topping-out procedure, Zhang Xingdong, a member of the company’s Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, led personnel from the Safety Production Department and other relevant teams to conduct a special safety inspection and technical guidance at the project site. The inspection focused on critical areas such as high-altitude operations and lifting and hoisting activities. Zhang also engaged in in-depth discussions with the team to address technical challenges, demonstrating a strong sense of safety responsibility and continuously strengthening the foundation of safe production.
The completion of the cold box roof marks the official start of the project’s all-out攻坚 phase. China Air Separation will spare no effort to push forward the subsequent work, ensuring that the project is completed and put into operation on schedule, delivering a satisfactory outcome to the client, and providing a stable supply of high-purity industrial gases for the Sino-Saudi Gulei Ethylene Project, thereby driving the Gulei Petrochemical Base toward higher-end, greener, and more intensive development.
