Good News! Achievements from a CNASEC Project Awarded the 2024 Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award

A new year brings a fresh outlook, and technological advances deliver good news. Recently, the 2024 Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Awards were presented in Hangzhou, with the project “Key Technologies and Applications for Efficient CO₂ Capture and Multi-Energy Coupled Resource Utilization in the Chemical Industry,” jointly developed by CNASEC Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CNASEC”) in collaboration with Zhejiang University and other institutions, receiving the Third Prize of the 2024 Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
This project’s outcomes focus on reducing and valorizing chemical-process off-gases, with the innovative development of technologies such as “CO₂ capture–hydrogenation coupling combined with synergistic VOCs control” and “pre-condensation heat recovery from off-gases and high-purity CO₂ production,” along with hierarchical network models. These advancements achieve multifunctional integration of efficient CO₂ valorization and safe treatment of VOC-containing exhaust gases, multi-stage dynamic optimization of CO₂ capture, transportation, and storage, significant reductions in pipeline infrastructure construction and operational costs, enhanced pre-condensation heat-recovery efficiency, and stable production of high-purity CO₂ coupled with efficient plant maintenance.
