The CPC Committee of CNASEC Holds the 2025 Democratic Life Meeting for Party Members and Leading Cadres

On January 28, the Party Committee of CNASEC held the 2025 Democratic Life Meeting for Party-member leading cadres. The meeting thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and comprehensively carried out the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. With the determination and perseverance to fight both decisive battles and protracted campaigns, the committee steadfastly upheld the spirit of the CPC Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision on Improving Conduct, promoted the institutionalization and long-term effectiveness of style-of-work development, and, through a fine work style, rallied unity and pooled strength while pursuing practical and diligent efforts to build the company into a first-class, technology-driven engineering firm in China. The meeting was chaired by Xu Xianghui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company.
The company’s Party Committee attaches great importance to this democratic life meeting and has made meticulous arrangements and thorough preparations in strict accordance with the requirements of the Group Party Committee. Prior to the meeting, the Party Committee’s theoretical study center group conducted a collective pre-meeting study session, extensively solicited opinions and suggestions, carried out in-depth heart-to-heart talks, closely aligned its work with the “five areas of leading by example” to comprehensively identify and examine problems, thoroughly analyzed typical cases, and carefully drafted the self-examination and materials, thereby laying a solid foundation for holding this democratic life meeting to a high standard.
The meeting briefed on the progress of study, education, rectification, and remediation in thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Regulation, the implementation of corrective measures from last year’s democratic life conference, and the solicitation of opinions from the Party Leadership Group, among other matters. On behalf of the leading team, Xu Xianghui closely aligned with the theme of this meeting and conducted an in-depth review and analysis across five key areas, with particular emphasis on identifying gaps and shortcomings, thoroughly examining their underlying causes, and articulating specific improvement measures, including: “focusing on firmly upholding the political direction and strengthening the ideological and cultural roots of state-owned enterprises from a higher vantage point; focusing on accurately setting the strategic course and charting a blueprint for development with greater resolve; focusing on maintaining strict conduct and discipline and fostering a healthier political environment through even stricter standards; and focusing on uniting hearts and pooling strengths to lay a stronger ideological foundation for development.”
Subsequently, Xu Xianghui took the lead, with the leadership team going straight to the heart of the issues, conducting a step-by-step对照检查—placing themselves, their responsibilities, and their work squarely at the center of the review. Self-criticism was frank and confrontational, mutual criticism was candid and accountable, and the measures for rectification were specific and pragmatic.
Finally, in his concluding remarks, Xu Xianghui pointed out that, through this democratic life meeting, all Party member leading cadres underwent rigorous training in intra-Party political life and profound education in Party spirit, thereby achieving the goals of strengthening unity, improving work, aligning thinking, and shouldering our mission. To further enhance the effectiveness of democratic life meetings, ensure thorough rectification and implementation, and effectively advance our work, he put forward four requirements:
First, we must consolidate our foundations and strengthen our roots to forge unwavering loyalty and cultivate a steadfast political character. We must thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively, profoundly, and accurately grasp the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and place greater emphasis on planning all our work from a political, holistic, and strategic perspective, so as to ensure that we always move forward in the right direction.
Second, practice strict self-discipline to strengthen Party character. Cultivate a strong work style and a sense of responsibility. We must strengthen our Party spirit, persistently enhance our ideological and political cultivation, and continuously improve the quality of political life within the Party. We must uphold truth-seeking and pragmatism, firmly establish and practice a correct view of official achievements, unite as one to jointly pursue development, and foster a clear orientation and a robust atmosphere that value practical work and deliver tangible results.
Third, implement targeted measures to drive rectification and promote the company’s high-quality, sustainable development. It is essential to establish a rectification checklist and clearly assign responsibility for each item. Rectification efforts should be carried out in a categorized manner to enhance their effectiveness. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the rectification process are required to ensure that all issues are thoroughly resolved, thereby laying a solid foundation for a strong start during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
Fourth, we must firmly and effectively enforce accountability. Advance the comprehensive and rigorous governance of the Party in a more profound and thorough manner. We must steadfastly shoulder the political responsibility for exercising full and rigorous Party self-governance, comprehensively tighten the chain of accountability, and ensure that responsibilities are implemented at every level. We must consolidate and deepen the achievements of study and education, take the lead in strengthening self-supervision and self-discipline, rigorously institutionalize oversight mechanisms, further advance efforts to improve work style, and continuously foster a clean and upright political environment.
