On the afternoon of January 30, Zhou Fenghua, Party Branch Secretary and Deputy General Manager of the Gas Engineering Company at China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Air Separation”), once again took to the online livestream room of the China National Machinery Industry Association to deliver a public-benefit lecture titled “Future Factory Design Applications for Air Separation and LNG” in the Gas Separation Equipment Division’s “Air Separation Masterclass.” This marks the first session of the Masterclass for 2024.

During the live webinar, Zhou Fenghua provided a comprehensive overview of five key aspects related to the implementation of the future air separation plant: the policy background, the digital and intelligent architecture, the intelligent platform for managing production and safety risks, the central database, and various digital and intelligent application scenarios.

“By building a digital and intelligent architecture for the future air separation plant—‘1+1+N’ (1 platform + 1 database + N scenarios)—we’ve achieved an unmanned, minimally manned, digitized, and intelligent air separation plant, enabling us to provide customers with more precise, efficient, and high-quality services,” Zhou Fenghua said with pride on her face.

Looking back to November 2021, Zhou Fenghua was a guest speaker at this lecture series and delivered her first presentation on “Implementation Pathways for Intelligent Air Separation Plants,” drawing widespread attention from the industry and marking the beginning of China’s journey toward building a “Digital China” in the air separation sector. Through continuous strategic planning and pioneering efforts, and bolstered by successful implementation cases of intelligent air separation plant projects, the vision of the “Factory of the Future” has now become a tangible reality.
