From October 13 to 15, the kickoff meeting for the technical renovation project of the liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen backup system for the air separation unit, contracted by China Air Separation as the general contractor, was held at China Air Separation. Attending the meeting were Dong Yunwen, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Zhongmei Ordos Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd.; Li Jijie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Air Separation; Zhang Xingdong, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager; and relevant project leaders. The meeting was chaired by Li Yanpeng, Deputy General Manager of China Air Separation Gas Engineering Company and Project Director.

The first large-scale tower equipment for the project’s core unit—the cold box—has been successfully lifted into place in a single, precise operation. This critical milestone marks the project’s full entry into the crucial phase of key equipment installation, representing a landmark step forward in the overall construction of the project.

Recently, China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully won the EPC general contracting project for the technical upgrade of the liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen backup system for the air separation unit of Zhongmei Ordos Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhongmei Oenenghua”). This project provides a typical demonstration solution for emergency support of air separation units in large-scale coal chemical enterprises, achieving the goal of “large-scale gas capacity, full product specifications, multiple pressure levels, and response times within ten seconds” for emergency support systems in China’s coal chemical industry. This milestone marks that China Air Separation has reached an advanced level in the industry in the field of backup systems for air separation units of similar scale.
