On May 23, the Hangzhou Survey and Design Industry Association released the "Notice on the Announcement of the Results of the 2024 Hangzhou Survey and Design Industry Outstanding Achievement Recognition." The 75,000 Nm³/h air separation project for the synthetic gas-to-1-million-ton-per-year methanol technology upgrade project undertaken by China Air Separation—commissioned by Zhongmei Ordos Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Zhongmei Project")—won the first prize in the "Other Comprehensive Engineering" category. Meanwhile, the tank farm project for the Sinochem Lianyungang Circular Economy Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as the "Sinochem Project") received the third prize in the same category. Both projects were listed, injecting fresh momentum into China Air Separation's ongoing efforts to strengthen technological innovation and accelerate the development of new-quality productivity.

On May 22, Zhou Kaiquan, a member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy General Manager of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH), led a delegation to visit and provide guidance at China Air Separation. In the vigorous “Red May,” good news is spreading from the north. Recently, after a continuous 17.5-hour operation involving a total concrete pour volume of 1,425 cubic meters, the foundation slab for the liquid ammonia storage tank of the Chifeng Yuanjing Zero-Carbon Hydrogen-Ammonia Project—undertaken by China Air Separation—was successfully completed. This milestone lays a solid foundation for the steady advancement of subsequent project phases and marks the imminent transition of the project into the construction stage of the tank body itself.

On May 16, the China (Laizhou) Bromine Industry Development Conference was held in Laizhou, Shandong Province, marking further progress in the implementation of the "China Bromine Chemical Industry Park Project Cooperation Agreement" signed between Air Separation of China and Laizhou, Shandong Province. The industrial park project is steadily advancing.

Recently, good news came from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology: the project “Research on Key Technologies for Flexible Chemical Equipment Based on Cloud-Edge-End Integrated Intelligent Control,” jointly submitted by China Air Separation, Zhejiang Zhongkong Research Institute, Zhejiang University, and Zhejiang University City College, has been honorably included in the 2024 “Pioneer, Leading Goose + X” Key R&D and Breakthrough Program. The successful approval of this project marks significant recognition of the company’s cutting-edge research in the field of intelligent chemical equipment.

In April, with the approval of the State Machinery Industry Commission, China Air Separation Equipment Company was established. It was affiliated with the Ministry of First Machinery Industry of the state and comprised “eight factories and two research institutes,” including the Hangzhou Oxygen Generator Factory, the Sichuan Air Separation and Gas-Phase Equipment Factory, and the Sichuan Cryogenic Equipment Research Institute.
