This June marks the 23rd National “Safety Production Month,” with the theme “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond—Keeping Lifelines Clear.” To deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on safety production, to carry out the major decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on safety production, and to further advance the three-year action plan for addressing the root causes of safety production, China Air Separation has closely focused on the theme of “Safety Production Month” and carried out a series of solid and meaningful activities throughout the month.

To celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, further advance Party discipline study and education, and strengthen the building of learning-oriented Party organizations, on June 25, the company’s Party Committee organized a “Welcome July 1st, Strengthen Party Spirit, Unite Forces, and Promote Development” learning challenge quiz competition. Six teams representing the gas, energy, environmental protection, chemical industry, functional Party branches, and the trade union participated in the event.

On June 20, Zheng Jichang, President of the Zhejiang Provincial Service Industry Association, and his delegation paid a visit to China Air Separation. This visit was motivated by China Air Separation’s deep-rooted expertise in the engineering services sector and its innovative explorations in specialized, refined industrial park projects. The purpose of the visit was to promote cooperation between the two sides in related fields. Xu Xianghui, General Manager of the company, Lu Qi, Chief Engineer and General Manager of the Chemical Engineering Company, and other senior executives warmly welcomed Zheng Jichang and his delegation and held a cordial exchange meeting.

In January, the Ministry of Machine Industry of China established the China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH) and transferred it as a wholly-owned second-level subsidiary.

In June, with approval from the State Economic Commission, the separation of government and enterprise was implemented, and the “Eight Factories and Two Institutes” were transferred to local governments for localized management.
